ALS takes enough. We’re here to help take away one burden.

Comic Books for ALS provides final-expense assistance for families after a loved one has passed due to ALS-related complications. Support is paid directly to funeral homes and related businesses to help reduce out-of-pocket costs.

You may apply if:

• The patient has passed due to ALS-related complications
   
• You are the patient’s next of kin, executor, or an authorized representative coordinating final arrangements
   
• You can provide a doctor’s note listing the patient’s name and an ALS diagnosis

Assistance may be applied toward eligible final expenses, such as:

• Funeral home services
   
• Cremation or burial costs
   
• Cemetery/plot fees
   
• Related final-expense vendors and required services
   

Important: Checks are made out to the funeral home and/or related businesses (not to individuals).

Please include one supporting document:

• A doctor’s note that clearly lists the patient’s full name and an ALS diagnosis
   

(We do not need additional medical details beyond what’s required to verify eligibility.)

If email is difficult, contact us and we’ll help you find another way to submit.

• We review applications as quickly as possible, based on available funds.
   
• If approved, we may contact you or the funeral home/vendor to confirm invoice details.
   
• Payment is issued directly to the funeral home/vendor listed on the application.

We treat all applications as confidential and use submitted information only to:

• verify eligibility
   
• coordinate payment with the listed businesses
   
• maintain required records
   

Submitting an application does not guarantee funding. Assistance amounts depend on available funds and program guidelines.
